Support built around your goals, not the other way around.
St. Giles Care delivers in-home and community support that ties back to your NDIS plan — personal care, appointment support, and real community connection, one person at a time.
Named for the patron saint of people with disability.
"St. Giles is regarded as the patron saint of people with disability — it felt like the only name that fit."
We started St. Giles Care because good support shouldn't feel clinical or rushed. We're a small, community-based team working across in-home and community settings — helping participants stay connected to the people, places, and routines that matter to them, with everything tied back to their individual plan and goals.
Led by people who've done the work
St. Giles Care is run day-to-day by its two directors — not passed off to a distant head office.
May-Anne Malabanan
Founder of St. Giles Care. Over 10 years as a support worker, a Diploma of Enrolled Nursing, and a background in relationship management, all going into how support is planned and delivered here.
Wenceslao Lorenzo Malabanan
Registered Nurse leading compliance, quality, and safeguards — keeping the systems behind every visit accountable to the standard participants deserve.
In May-Anne's words
My passion for disability support comes from both my personal life and my career. I spent over 10 years working as a support worker alongside participants with a wide range of needs, and I've seen first-hand how personalised, compassionate support can transform someone's independence, confidence, and quality of life. On a personal level, my sister-in-law has special needs, and watching her journey has shaped how deeply I believe every participant deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and as an individual with their own goals and aspirations.
My background isn't only clinical. Before disability support, I worked as a Marketing Manager and a Business Relationship Manager, which sharpened my listening, communication, and problem-solving — skills I still lean on to understand what a participant actually needs, rather than what a standard plan assumes. Completing my Diploma of Enrolled Nursing added safe care practices, infection control, and documentation to that foundation. Together, these experiences shaped a simple belief: no two participants are the same, so support shouldn't be delivered the same way twice.
That belief is also why our governance isn't just paperwork. Early in my career, I noticed that workplace problems in this sector — misunderstandings, inconsistent care, staff burnout — usually trace back to poor communication. So we built our systems around it: regular team check-ins, clear shift handovers, detailed care notes, and a culture where staff can raise concerns without fear of judgement. Incident reporting and regular plan reviews aren't just compliance boxes to us — they're how we catch problems early and keep support genuinely centred on the person receiving it. Today, Wenceslao — our Registered Nurse and Compliance Manager — leads the day-to-day systems that keep this framework running.

Three ways we show up for you
Every visit is planned around your NDIS goals — not a generic checklist. Here's where we currently focus.
Personal care
Respectful, dignified support with daily routines — delivered by a familiar face who knows how you like things done.
Appointments & everyday support
Getting to medical, allied health, and community appointments — with someone who follows through on what was discussed.
Community connection
Getting out, staying social, and building routines around the activities and people that matter most to you.
Four steps from first call to first visit
No long forms, no waiting weeks to hear back. Here's exactly what happens.
You reach out
Call, email, or send an enquiry. We ask a few questions about your plan and what support looks like day-to-day.
We meet you
A no-pressure conversation, in person or over the phone, to understand your goals and what's not working right now.
We build your plan together
We map support hours to your actual NDIS goals and match you with the right support worker.
Support begins
Visits start, and we check in regularly to make sure it's still working for you — adjusting as your goals change.
Small enough to remember your name.
We've made a deliberate choice to grow slowly and stay hands-on, rather than scale into something impersonal.
Consistent support workers
You see familiar faces, not a rotating roster of strangers.
Everything ties to your plan
Support hours map to your actual NDIS goals, tracked and reported clearly.
Honest about scope
We're upfront if a need is outside what we currently support, and help you find the right fit.
Community-based, always
Support happens in your home and your community — never in an institutional setting.
What families are saying
Reviews are on their way
We're a young provider and still collecting feedback from the families we support. In the meantime, we're happy to put you directly in touch with a current participant's family for a reference — just ask.
